Senior pictures continued this weekend and were we lucky to photograph a future model (even though Javon claims he doesn’t like his picture taken). When we first met Javon, we knew this would be a fun shoot – he was laid back, ready for anything, and had both the serious model look mastered and a cute smile. He’s one of those seniors that has a great head on his shoulders – as a graduating senior from Mayde Creek he’s already taking college course and hopes to design cars one day but is doing his undergrad in business. We fell in love with him and you will too and here’s why (sorry ladies, he’s taken!)

We wish you all the best in continuing your college studies Javon! You’ll do great and we look forward to seeing your car one day on the streets!

It’s that time of year again when seniors are looking forward to finally getting out of high school and striking it out on their own whether it be in college or wherever life takes them. This also means that we’re busy taking senior pictures and we like it. Tyler is good friends with a senior we took last year, Brady. We hear that Brady is loving college and we hope that Tyler will as well next year. Tyler is one of those guys that gets along with everyone and has a great personality. And to go along with that he has a movie star stare that is sure to get the ladies attention – just see for yourself.

Congratulations Tyler! Good luck next year – you’ll do great!

Though there are times when people think things are not meant to be, life will surprise you in a good way and fill your life with so much happiness you can’t even stand it. Such is the case with our good friends from Austin, Amy and Kelli. We won’t get into details, but they have been blessed with a new addition to their family, Alex. He brings them so much joy and laughter and after meeting him, we can see why. He was shy at first, unsure of why we were there, but after some time, he let down his guard and by the end, didn’t want us to leave. We got to sit around, catch up, and just capture the moment. He is the cutest little thing and you’ll see why after you take a peek below.

Great job Alex – you were great! Amy and Kelli, it was so great seeing yall! Can’t wait to watch Alex grow up!

benjaminMarch 12, 2012

At a little over three weeks old, Benjamin already has such long arms and legs. And with parents as tall as Alex and Lisa are, he’s got a lot more growing to do! With newborn photography you never know quite how it’s going to go but lucky for us, he liked to sleep so the shoot went very well (about 98% or so). However, Alex can attest for the other 2% when Benjamin really let us know how he felt!

Alex and Lisa have a sweet little angel in Benjamin – we can’t wait to see him grow up!

Thanks Alex and Lisa for asking us to take newborns of your super adorable Benjamin! We had fun!

What do ducks, a cowgirl, a wedding dress, welding, and high tailing it on a self fixer upper Jeep have in common? Add in shared DNA and a maiden name with none other than the Kim Schroeder and you’ve got a trash the dress shoot at its finest. Though Kim’s sister Jenni was married a few years back, we thought it’d be fun to surprise her husband with a calendar of the trash the dress shoot for Christmas (and boy was it a hit!) It was a little challenging getting the wedding dress to behave at times, but I think we did a pretty good job. We’ll let the pictures do the talking…enjoy!

It was a fun shoot Jenni! You did awesome, especially trying to maneuver in that wedding dress.

RIP Snorkel – you will be missed.

It’s always a treat taking pictures for a friend and that is just what we did for the Encarnacions. Ethan is the first kiddo for these good friends of ours but probably not their last. Shaun and Jeannie are amazing parents with an amazing little man who loves to laugh, make funny faces, rock his faux-hawk (when the wind hits it just right), and above all else, loves his parents. We had a lot of fun taking pictures of this fab GQ fam. And without further ado, the pictures…

Ethan you were great and such a good boy! Encarnacions – awesome job – it was fun! Can’t wait to watch Ethan grow up into a little man!

You just can’t help but smile when you see June – she is one of the cutest, sweetest, happiest babies we have ever met (and we’re not just saying that because she’s practically family). On our Christmas visit to Kennewick, WA we an impromptu holiday photo shoot with June. From the first moment we met her, she was all smiles – she would go from a little stare to a glimmer in her eyes and the biggest smile ever! We’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking, but we guarantee you’ll have a big smile on your face after you see them…

June, you were awesome! We can’t wait to see you again! Hugs and kisses!

It was great meeting you Kate and Eric – yall have a little cutie model on your hands!

the palermosDecember 18, 2011

Our busy season is in full swing and some new clients of ours, referred to us by Mary Kathryn (thanks MK!), wanted a family shoot for some holiday cards. The boys arrived in their super cute sweaters looking like little gentleman with mom and dad in tow. Sebastian and Niko were adorable and full of energy. It was definitely a photo shoot of some future models – watch out ladies (sorry mom, we’re just saying…hehe)

Merry Xmas Palermo’s! Y’all did amazing!

The holiday season is here and our clients are eager to get their holiday pictures taken and show off how cute their kids are (and cute they are!) And that was just what our friend Amy was after – festive holiday pictures of her son Van. He’s growing up so fast into a little man – it feels like just yesterday we were taking his baby pictures and now he’s almost 2 – how time flies! Though it was a little chilly for the mid-morning shoot, Van was in high spirits and ran around laughing and jumping all over – good thing he stopped just long enough for us to capture the fun he was having with his mom!

Great job Van – you did awesome as always! Amy, you did well too! (hehe) Merry Christmas you two!

owen + jake + abby (duggans)November 20, 2011

It’s amazing how fast kids can grow in a year! Their personalities change and develop, their sense of adventure heightens, and they say the funniest things! We took pictures of the Duggan kids last year and looking back at those pictures, my, have they grown!

We knew it’d be a great shoot from the beginning as the three of them came running towards us with huge smiles on their faces – the boys pushing their matching Tonka trucks (Owen knew exactly which one was his because his was cleaner than Jake’s…lol) and Abby in her cute dress and sparkly shoes. Big brother Owen was Mr. Model this time around requesting some pictures of just him , Jake kept falling down while chasing his brother but popped right back up as if nothing happened, and Abby had the model “serious look” down.

Jake was in his element when the water in the fountains started running – he got a thrill out of trying to avoid the water jets but then thought it’d be more fun to run through them which meant he got soaked!

At the end, we thought it’d be a cute idea to give the kids candy canes – in theory it was a good idea, whereas in actuality, it ended up being a sticky mess but they loved it (well, except when Jake thought his candy cane was spicy and spit it out but then decided he wanted to eat it again shortly after)

Owen, Jake, and Abby – yall did amazing! It was so much fun running around with you and being silly!

Mary, as always, we love your family and can’t wait to see yall again! Thanks!
